Anti Atlas

Description

The Anti-Atlas is the oldest mountain range in North Africa. It was formed about 300 million years ago as the result of continental collisions. The Anti-Atlas extend over a distance of 500 km (310 miles) from the Atlantic Ocean in the southwest to the heights of Ouarzazate towards the northeast and further on to the city of Tafilalt. It borders the Sahara Desert in the south. Argan is a special species of tree endemic to the calcareous semi-desert Sous Valley. Goats feed off the leaves of the Argan trees, and olive-like fruits are used by the local people to produce argan oil. For centuries the Berbers have used the Argan oil to heal scars and relieve rheumatic pain. Note: All of our programs can be combined and fully customized to fit your needs.
